ERASMUS+ with the European Day of Languages

This edition of the European Day of Languages has been very special for us. This academic year IES Azcona has started two ERASMUS+ projects.

Our partner countries are Italy, Croatia and Macedonia in the project entitled "SWOT Scouts" and France, Belgium, Greece and Romania in the project "Avenir Durable, Avenir Solidaire".

Here are some of the projects done by different classes to celebrate the linguistic diversity of Europe:

El IES Azcona ha sido seleccionado como centro beneficiario de una subvención con fondos europeos dentro del Programa ERASMUS+ de la Unión Europea. 

El proyecto, coordinado por el IES Azcona, cuenta como países socios de proyecto con Croacia, la Antigua República Yugoslava de Macedonia e Italia.

Preparing the second edition of Azcona's Christmas Songs Competition

Hi everyone! Soon we'll be having the 2nd Christmas Songs Competition (date to be confirmed), but in the meantime here's some suggestions as to songs you could take part with. Come on! Practise and enter the competition with your class!!
If you are in 1º ESO or 2º ESO, maybe you wish to try these other easier songs:

Plurilingual Christmas Song Competition

Una de las unidades didácticas integradas dentro de nuestro proyecto bilingüe trata de la celebración de la Navidad. En el curso 2016/17, el departamento de inglés del IES Azcona, con la colaboración de los departamentos de lenguas, organizó un concurso de canciones navideñas.

9th May 2017, Europe Day

On 9th May 2017, Azcona celebrated Europe Day. 

"Europe Day" was a plurilingual and multicultural activity on occasion of the celebration of Europe Day in the EU on 9th May. All the teachers working in the Bilingual Project at Azcona carried out an integrated didactic unit around the thematic axis of Europe and the European Union, the result of which was this day of celebration, when our students exhibited their projects in English, French and Spanish.

IX Bilingual Schools Contest

We participated in the IX Provincial English Bilingual Schools Contest with a team of 1º ESO students: Laura de Amo, Beatriz Bazán, Gema Requena, Naiara González, Gloria Galindo and Carlos Gómez. It took place at IES El Palmeral, Vera, in June 2017.

They worked hard to prepare the different tests and competitions, which included the performance of a karaoke song and this beautiful cultural poster about Scotland. It ranked number one among the different posters by other secondary schools!

And do you know what? They won third prize!!!!!!!!
